Day 1 Arrive Delhi
Meeting on arrival at
Delhi
International Airport and transfer to hotel.
Overnight at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 2 Delhi - Amritsar
Catch morning train to Amritsar. Arriving Amritsar in
the afternoon. Later visit Golden Temple and Beating Retreat ceremony at
India -Pakistan border at Wagah.
Day 3 Amritsar - Dharamshala
Leave by car for Dharamshala - distance 180 kms.
Dharamshala is the Home of Dalai Lama, head of Tibet's Government in exile.
Overnight in Dharamshala.
Day 4
Dharamshala.
Visit Norbulinga, Namgyal Monastery, Tibetan Library
etc. Overnight at Dharamshala.
Day 5 Dharamshala - Manali.
Drive from Dharamshala to Manali, a distance of 260 kms.
Overnight at Manali.
Day 6 Manali.
Full day sightseeing of Manali visiting Hidimba Temple,
Manu Tample, Tibetan Monastry and excursion to Nagar Castle and Roerich Art
Gallery.
Day 7 Manali - Keylong
Morning drive to Keylong 115 kms via Rohtang Pass 3980 mt. Drive through
Marhi, Koksar, Sissu and Tandi villages. Arrive Keylong and checkin at the
hotel. Visit Keylong town and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 Keylong - Tsokar Lake
After b/fast drive approx 174 kms to Tsokar lake via Sarchu. This day is
going to be a wonderful Himalayan safari with stunning views on the
way.Arrive Tsokar which is apopular wetland area and a protected bird
reserve and checkin at the tented camps for overnight stay.
Day
9 Tsokar - Tso Moriri Lake
Early breakfast & leave for Tso Moriri lake via Tsokar lake & olokongka
pass. Arrive Tsomoriri by afternoon and checkin ath the camp later explore
the Lake & visit the nomadic village of Korzok. The crystal clear Tso Moriri
Lake area is again a popular birdsanctuary & a breeding ground for bar
headed geese, black-necked crane, Brahamini duck etc. Overnight at the
Camp.
Day 10 Tso Moriri Lake - Leh
After early breakfast drive 220 kms along Indus, through some wonderful
landscapes of the region. It's a fantastic high altitude wilderness drive,
with small passes, lakes and valleys full of Himalayan Marmots. Arrive Leh
by evening. Overnight at the hotel
Day
11 Leh
After an early breakfast, proceed for a fullday Indus Valley tour
includes visit to Shey Palace, Thiksey, Hemis and Stok Monasteries. Evening
free at the market. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12 Leh - Nubra Valley
After an early breakfast at 8:00 am, drive to Nubra Valley via the world
famous Khardongla Pass 18360 ft. Arrive and chekcin at the the camp. Rest
for some time and afternoon visit Dsikit & Hunder Monasteries. Dinner &
overnight at the Camp.
Day 13 Nubra Valley
Leisure breakfast which shall be followed by tour of Nubra valley
includes visit to the white Sand Dunes of Nubra where you might enjoy a
camel safari on the double humped camels. Packed lunch for the day.
Afternoon drive to the secluded Yarabtso Lake and visit Panamic Hot Springs.
Back to camp for dinner & overnight stay.
Day
14 Nubra Valley - Saboo
Morning leisure breakfast and then drive back to Leh via Khardongla
pass. Enjoy your lunch on top of the world highest pass, an experience in
itself. Arrive Leh and checkin at the family run Hotel. Relax till evening.
Around 7:00 pm proceed for a special Tibetan Dinner at the famous "Tibetan
Kitchen Restaurant" in Leh (Reserved table). Overnight at Saboo.
Day 15 Saboo - Stok
Morning after breakfast drive to stok enroute visit Tibetan Village ,
arrive Stok & checkin at the hotel. Later proceed for a special Ladakhi
Lunch with a Ladakhi family at "Gyabthago Heritage Home" in Stok village.
Experience Ladakhi traditional life & delicacies over a cup of butter tea
&barley drinks. Learn making butter tea. After lunch visit the Royal Museum
at Stok Palace and if desired visit Leh market for some free time in the
evening. Dinner & overnight at Stok.
Day 16 Excursion to Pangong & back
Fullday excursion to Pangong Lake 135 kms one of the biggest natural
brackish lakes in the Himalayas, back by Leh by evening. Picnic packed lunch
in Pangong. Overnight at the Hotel in Leh.
Day 17 Leh - Lamayuru
Pack up in the morning and drive to Lamayuru 125 kms from Leh enroute
photo stop at Indus & Zanskar river confluence (Sangam), visit 1000 year old
Alchi Murals and Basgo Castle. Arrive Lamayuru and checkin at the Monastery
Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 18 Lamayuru - Beima
Morning drive to Drokpa Valley 85 km, the drokpa tribes of Ladakh are
considered one of the pure descendents of Aryan race with different culture
& a unique language. Checkin at the camp in Beima village. Packed Lunch and
afternoon visit Dha & Beima villages.
Day
19 Beima - Tingmogang
Morning after breakfast drive 95 kms to Tingmogang village. Enroute stop at
Khalatsi village for tea. Arrive Tingmogang by afternoon and chekcin at the
Hotel. Lunch and later visit Nunnery school, the great fortified Tingmogang
Palace and the Chamba monastery. It was once the capital of western
Ladakh.Overnight at the hotel.
Day 20 Tingmogang - Leh
Morning after b/fast visit Vipassana Valley which is an exclusive
meditation valley in the village and then drive back to Leh 92 km. Checkin
at the hotel in Leh. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight at the
hotel.
Day 21 Leh – Delhi
Transfer to airport in time to take flight to Delhi. Rest of the day a car at disposal in Delhi till time to catch flight back to home.
